LVE Manager

Our engineers use the kernel-level LVE Manager to limit the CPU, RAM and I/O resources in each hosting account using LVE. This guarantees that no particular tenant will abuse all shared resources and encroach on neighbouring sites.

CageFS

We use CageFS CloudLinux security to enclose all our users within a fully virtualised and isolated file system. This prevents tenants from seeing other tenants, viewing configuration files, or stealing from other accounts on the same server.

PHP Selector

With the included PHP Selector, your customers have the flexibility to select their PHP version, from 5.x to the latest 8.x release, directly from their control panel. This is configured to allow us to assign custom extensions per account without compromising the integrity of the global server.

MySQL Governor

To stop database-related slowdowns, we configure the MySQL Governor to monitor database usage in real time and automatically throttle accounts that exceed safe limits to ensure consistent performance of queries across the server.

Hardened PHP & mod_lsapi

CloudLinux security hardening by using Hardened PHP to patch old PHP versions with the latest exploits. When installed with Apache’s mod_lsapi PRO module, your server will run faster, use less memory, and be fully protected from execution-based attacks. For multi-layer protection, we recommend Imunify360 for Linux security, which stops malware before it gets to the kernel.

Today, Linux security goes way beyond just a basic Linux firewall. Every Cloud Linux server must have controlled access and also needs Linux hardening and Linux endpoint protection to create a secure environment. Most of Linux security tools are designed at the OS level, but they do not consider the situation where multiple users are sharing the same hosting server.

CloudLinux OS addresses this by adding layers. Its LVE technology, combined with CageFS and SecureLinks, allows it to isolated user environments so that one cannot abuse the resources available in a server or mount one account from another.
